Finally Published!

Yesterday, on February 25th, 2022, my book, “A Victory Song: Beneath the Veil,” was published on the Amazon and Barnes and Noble websites. This is really good news for me, as a child of God with bipolar disorder, and as a first-time author!!

~”But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of the darkness and into his marvelous light.”~1 Peter 2:9, ESV~

This journey, for me, has been a LONG journey (it took about 3-4 years for my book to be published). It has also been hard because of what it took to get my book published! I had to submit the manuscript of my book for many publishing companies to consider publishing my book. On some of the times that I submitted my book, I had to cancel contracts with some publishing companies because they wanted to change some parts of my story, which I disagreed with, because to change the words to my story would mean to alter my testimony.

I finally found Christian Faith Publishing , the publishing company that decided to published my book!! I was finally able to rejoice in the Lord after I decided to go with Christian Faith Publishing to publish my book and they did not alter or change the words to my testimony of my story. Praise the Lord!!

~”Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.”~Philippians 4:4, ESV~

It took approximately 2-3 years after I signed the contract with Christian Faith Publishing until my book was FINALLY published. This was due to financial hardships that I faced in making the monthly payments on time to Christian Faith Publishing for them to publish my book. I was eventually able to overcome the financial hardships that I faced, as well as the delays in getting my book published, by many prayers from my church family and financial assistance from a good friend from my church that assisted me in making the second to last payment to get my book published. Hallelujah!!

~”No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”~ Romans 8:37, ESV~

I am pleased and beyond humbled by the grace of God to present to all of you, who are are reading this blog post my first book officially published, “A Victory Song: Beneath the Veil.” My prayer is that God will use it to touch and to inspire you, dear reader, as you are impacted by my testimony of how the Lord was good to me, in spite of the challenges that I faced concerning my bipolar disorder, and overcame them by the power of God and through Christian counseling at my church.

My prayer is also that God will use my book to inspire you to believe in you, as well as in the power of God, that will empower you, whether you are diagnosed with a mental illness or do not have a mental illness, or are a Christian or a non-Christian and are just reading this book out of curiosity. May, “A Victory Song: Beneath the Veil,” be a blessing to you through the pages of my testimony. Grace and peace to you!
