Growing in Freedom

I pray. I pray almost every single day in my prayer closet.

As I pray, I let the Holy Spirit of God guide me in everything that I pray. I let the Holy Spirit of God guide me so that I know what I ought to pray, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

~”Pray without ceasing.”~1 Thessalonians 5:17, English Standard Version~

When I pray, I take deep breathes. When I pray, I breathe in and I breathe out. Then, I turn on my Christian music playlist on my phone, listen to it, and pray.

God guides me. Jesus holds me by the right hand. The Holy Spirit of God guides me on paths or righteousness for His Name’s Sake. I let Him lead me beside the quiet waters.

~”The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.“~Psalm 23:1-3, English Standard Version~

As I let the Holy Spirit of God lead me beside the quiet waters, I let Him purify me. I let God purify me as His hands cleanse me of all sins, known and unknown. Jesus is the Ultimate Restorer of my soul. Hallelujah!

In the moments that I pray, I let the peace of God fill up my heart so that I can be completely and wholeheartedly restored in Him. The Lord is my Healer. I receive healing today, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

As I put my head on the green, green grass besides the still waters, I am calm. I become calm in the presence of Almighty God. Rest is my portion. I receive rest as I enter into the arms of the King of kings and Lord of lords today!

I know that God is by my side. God is my Defender. God is my Savior. God is my Rock. God is my salvation. Amen!

It is in and through Christ that I can do all things, I believe, in the Name of Jesus Christ. As I lift up my head from rest, I begin to walk. I walk in freedom. I walk in the freedom that Jesus paid the price for to die for me. Jesus paid the ultimate price for my freedom so that I can walk in freedom, from His death on the cross, and resurrection power today.

~”I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”~Philippians 4:13, King James Version~

I can walk in freedom today. I can walk in the crucifixion power of Jesus Christ today. I can walk in the resurrection power of Jesus Christ today. I am free. I am free indeed. Thank You Jesus! Hallelujah!

And as I begin to walk in this freedom without looking back. I do not look back as I walk, not alone, but with the King of kings and Lord of lords by my side today. Thank You Abba Father for the price that Your only begotten Son paid for me on the cross and through Your resurrection power! Amen!

A Light So Bright!

I am glorious. I am glorious, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Jesus is my Lord. Jesus is my Savior. It is in this moment that I am glorious because I shine bright in the King of kings and Lord of lords.

β€œYou are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”~Matthew 5:14-16, ESV~

Whenever I shine bright, I give glory to God. Whenever I shine bright, I give glory to His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Whenever I shine bright, I let the Holy Spirit of God shine down on me so that I shine brighter. I shine even brighter as a result of the light of God that is in me.

This light of God is so bright. This light of God is so bright that even others cannot outshine this beautiful light of God that is in and within me. This light of God is so bright that the devil, my enemies, and others cannot put it out, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

The light of God is so beautiful. Nothing can comprehend this light of God, in the Name of Jesus Christ. This light of God is a reflection of Heaven. This light of God reminds me of a painting with many colors in the sky: pink, purple, and yellow, which are a reflection of a sunrise and orange and yellow, which are a reflection of a sunset of King Jesus.

The sunrise and sunset in the sky remind me that Jesus is coming back soon. Jesus is coming back for me, as His daughter and cherished princess. I belong to Jesus just as Jesus belongs in my heart. He puts a golden crown on my forehead and it shines. It shines so bright! Hallelujah!

Because I am a cherished princess of the Lord, I walk on the streets paved with gold in Heaven. Because I am a cherished princess of the Lord, I spin and twirl around and around Jesus in adoration in worship. I can only imagine what worship and adoration will be like in Heaven.

~”Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path”~Psalm 119:105, ESV~

I skip around in my white robe singing, “Hosanna! Hosanna!,” as I skip up and down merrily and joyfully. The light of God was my portion. The light of God is my portion. The light of God is to be my portion! Amen!

I will continue down this path of light until that day of Jesus Christ. I will let my footprints touch this path of light until that day of Jesus Christ. I will let the light of God light my path to goodness and greatness. Hallelujah and Amen!

Remembering Me

Yesterday, I went for a walk.

As I went for a walk, I took a picture of a beautiful purple flower. The purple flower looked majestic with its magnificent petals and lovely green stem. I continued to look at it and marvel at this magnificent creation of God!

~”I will be like the dew to Israel; he shall blossom like the lily; he shall take root like the trees of Lebanon.”~Hosea 14:5, ESV~

Whenever I look at this purple flower, I think of myself as the daughter of God that I am to the Lord. I am a child of the King of kings and Lord of lords. I am His princess. I am loved. I am everything to the Lord.

I also blossom like this purple flower in the eyes of the Lord. As I sprout like this purple flower, I grow stronger and stronger. I grow more flourished and dainty like the princess of God that I am in His sight. My flower becomes a Tree of Life. I become a Tree of Life. I am a Tree of Life.

My Tree of Life is the abundant life of Jesus Christ. My Tree of Life is full of the agape love of the Father. My Tree of Life is flourishing because the hands of God are watering it full of the nutrients of the Word of God.

~”Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.”~1 Peter 2:2, NIV~

Like a newborn baby drinks milk, I am still growing in the Word of God. I am growing up and flourishing, like the purple flower, and as the Tree of Life that the Lord has called me to become. I am only becoming like Eden. I am only just becoming a Garden of Eden.

My Tree of Life that is in my Garden of Eden is being restored. My own purple flower is becoming more royal, day by day. My own purple flower is gaining authority as its portion in my Garden of Eden that the hands of my God and my Father created. My Abba Father is good. My Abba Father is so good!

My Heavenly Father remembers me, like the purple flower in this Garden of Eden, by name. I am His daughter. I am His cherished princess. I am lovely. I am altogether lovely, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

My Heavenly Father has not forgotten me because He remembers me. He will always remember me, in the Name of Jesus Christ. I am His princess and He is my King of kings and Lord of Lords. My Savior and My God. Amen!

“~Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”~2 Corinthians 5:17, ESV~

Bleeding Red For Me

I woke up yesterday morning and spoke with my roommate.

As the both of us were talking, she happened to notice a series of red flowers blooming in her front yard. She pointed them out to me, saying, “Sarah! Look! These red flowers look beautiful!!”

Looking at these red flowers reminded me of the shed blood of Jesus on the cross.

~”But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.“~Isaiah 53:5, ESV~

Looking at these red flowers reminded me that God is always with me. God is always by my side. The shed blood of Jesus Christ is my portion and I stand in it today.

I remember when I was a little girl. My grandfather in my mother’s side of the family taught me that Jesus died for me on the cross. He would sit me on his lap after we had lunch or dinner in his house and he would tell me about Jesus.

“Sarah,” he would say. “Did you know that Jesus died for you on the cross?”

“Yes,” I would reply with such conviction.

I always knew, since I was a little girl, that Jesus is my Lord. Jesus is my Savior. Jesus is my Rock and Jesus is my Salvation. The blood of Jesus is my portion.

I will always claim the blood of Jesus over my life. I claim the blood of Jesus over my health. I claim the blood of Jesus over my finances. I claim the blood of Jesus over my family. I claim the blood of Jesus over my friends. The blood of Jesus is my portion and the blood of Jesus is my double portion.

I am thankful to God for Jesus and for His shed blood for me. Jesus had me on His heart and on His mind. I am very special to Jesus. I am very near and dear to Jesus. I am His cherished daughter. I am the adorned princess of the King of kings and Lord of lords.

As I let the Father place a crown of sweet adoration on my forehead, I gladly and humbly accept it as my portion. I accept this crown as my portion as well as the blood of Jesus as my portion. God is faithful. Amen!

~”If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”~1 John 1:9, ESV~

The Lord is very good to me. I gladly accept Jesus into my life as my Lord and my Savior, always and forever. Eternity is my portion because the blood of Jesus stands as my Rock and Salvation forever. I receive this double portion forever! Amen!

And as I think about the series of red flowers that I saw this morning, I marvel at the goodness, the grace, and mercy of God. God is good! God is so good to me. Amen!

Loving me is Self-Care

I love myself. I love myself in the way that God made me.

God made me. God fashioned me. He made me in the image of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.

~”I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”~

~Psalm 139:14, KJV~

I love my two eyes. I love my nose. I love my mouth which out of it speaks the Word of God. I love everything that God made me about me. I am very special to God.

It took me a couple of years for me to see that God loves me. Knowing that God loves me is self-care because it is acknowledging that I am special in the eyes of my Creator. It is acknowledging that I am His cherished princess. It is acknowledging that I am the lovely apple of His eye.

I am a child of God. This I know to be true because of what the Word of God says about me. The Word of God, the Bible, is like a letter from God to me as His daughter. I read it. I soak in what the Word of God says about me. I also acknowledge that everything that the Word of God says to me through this letter is the truth. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life for me to have eternal security as a name in Heaven, for His Name’s sake.

~”Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.~”

~John 14:6, NIV~

I know that my name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. I know that my name is a name that is highly prized in God’s book of my life. Heaven is my eternal Home. I know that I am going to Heaven someday.

Someday, I will walk on Eternity’s shore. Someday, I will walk on the shores of the Kingdom of Heaven. Someday, I will enter into my Heavenly Father’s arms.

God is love. Jesus is a God of agape love. This is also a truth that I hold near and dear to my heart. Jesus is the Lord of my life and also the Lord of love. He is my First Love. Indeed!

~”Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”~

~1 John 4:8, NIV~

If I did not love, I would not know God. If I did not love myself, I would not know God. If I did not love my friends or my family, I would not know God. Jesus is my First Love. Jesus will always be my First Love.

Jesus loved me first before my mother. Jesus loved me first before my father. Jesus died for me when I could do nothing to save myself. This is how great the love of God is for me!

And it is with this Truth that I walk in the love of God daily. Jesus is, and was, and is to be my First Love: always and forever. Amen!

A Nature Walk with Jesus

I love the Lord. I love the Lord with all of my heart. I also love nature.

Nature is one of the ways that I take care of myself through means of self-care. Nature is also one of the ways that I glorify God through His Son, Jesus Christ.

~”On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.”~

~Psalm 145:5, ESV~

Yesterday, I went on a nature walk. I breathed in and I breathed out the fresh air as I walked along the nature trails of the nature park near my town house. I enjoyed looking at the people passing by me. From adults to young children, they all catch my eye as a part of God’s creation. I marveled at every flower along the grassy pathways of the nature trails. I stopped to look the flowers and began to think.

I thought about God and how He used His hands to form the flowers, the trees, and other parts of nature. I thought about the days that it took God to create nature through the days of creation. God did create the earth after all.

As I closed my eyes, I began to thank God for giving me this opportunity to go to the nature park today. From watching the people to looking at the flowers, I am still taken aback by God’s wonderful creation. His creation is magnificent. Indeed!

~”He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.”~

~Ecclesiastes 3:11, ESV~

I tuned out all distractions as I continued to thank God. I thanked God for this day called Saturday. I thanked God for the many opportunities that He is giving me. I have officially written my first book, but it is not published yet because it is still being copy-edited. I thank God for making the way for me to write my first book and provide me the money that I need to get it copy-edited. My journey is just beginning.

A clump of trees glorifying God as one together in this nature park.

I thank God for my family. My family means the world to me even though I do not see them much. I pray for them everyday still in my prayer closet as I be still in His presence and thank God that they are my family.

I thank God for my church family. Their prayers mean the world to me as I have continued on this journey to get my first book published. I thank God for my church family’s continued love, support, and prayers over my life. I bless them, in Jesus’ Name.

And it is with this last step that I take in the nature park that I walk back to my car and start praising the Lord. God is good. Hallelujah and Amen!!

Gazing upon a flower that the hands of God created.
Smiling as I thank God for creating this flower.
Marveling at this simple leaf that God created with His hands.
Closing my eyes and thinking about how good the Lord is for creating this simple leaf.
